Bryant University’s People Analytics course — taught by a SHRM-SCP with more than 25 years of experience — is designed to help you analyze big data to make informed decisions. The course covers how to harness the potential of your most valuable asset: your people.

Course Requirements

This six-week, self-paced course includes guided learning with multimedia, interactive modules, and curated readings. Discussion posts are due on Mondays and all other deliverables are due on Saturdays. Expect approximately 4-5 hours of work per week.  

First-time online learner? “Strategies for Success” is a one-week module that will familiarize you with our learning system before you begin your program and ensure you are ready to participate. Required for all first-time, self-paced Bryant learners.

Meet Your Instructor: Elissa O’Brien

With more than 25 years of experience in human resources, Elissa O’Brien, SHRM-SCP, is an expert at analyzing evidence-based data to make pragmatic business decisions. In her current role at WorldatWork, a global association for HR professionals and business leaders, she leads multiple teams responsible for membership, affiliates, strategic partnerships, and customer and partner success. As a former chief human resources officer in several mid-cap organizations, her expertise spans human resources, business development, and strategic initiatives. A Bryant University adjunct faculty member, she teaches HR analytics and business and strategy. She earned an MBA and a Master of Science in Managerial Technology from Johnson & Wales University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Salve Regina University.
