Tom Dougherty

Tom Dougherty, Executive in Residence of Information Systems and Analytics at Bryant University, brings over 35 years of experience as a data scientist and analytics leader. Tom spent 35 years as a data scientist in several different industries. He retired from Fidelity Investments in 2017, where he was the head of advanced analytics for the institutional businesses. At Bryant, he teaches courses in Business Applications of Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI, where he teaches students the impact of AI on business. Tom warns that, while automation and machine learning are already in use, the next frontier is “agentic” AI capable of acting, reacting, researching, and negotiating.

Eirwyn Zhang

Eirwyn Zhang is an industrial operator and selective capital partner deploying physical AI into allied resilient infrastructure. He engineered core simulation pipelines and computing systems for Scuderia Ferrari, Epic Games, and Unity, culminating in the 2020 strategic acquisition of his proprietary spatial-computing IP. Today, Eirwyn translates this asymmetric computational architecture into sovereign capability. He directs a stealth industrial asset within the Harvard Business School Foundry (Defense & Aerospace Pod) and constructs autonomous systems informed by his applied research at Carnegie Mellon University alongside NVIDIA and John Deere. Eirwyn serves as co-author and editor of the MIT Dual-Use Horizon Report, aligning engineering physics directly with institutional capital allocation.
